This product has been chosen on this projects due to its’ unique combination of characteristics. SunCool 70/40 has several main advantages, one being an extremely low Light Reflection coefficient combined with high light transmission. This combination of parameters exactly matched expectations of a project architect, who wanted the building up to modern trends of European architecture school.  

Additional weight to final decision was added by outstanding solar and energy performance characteristics of the glass. IG-unit made with it has 70%of light transmission, while having solar factor of 40%, which means that it highly selective  transmits a lot of light in visible spectrum, while hugely reducing heat gained by building form shortwave infrared heat. This allowed to achieve high level of comfort inside the building even with high level of insolation and also greatly helps in saving money on air conditioning.

I colder climate this glass allows to save a lot of energy on heating because of very low U-value.
